How to register on Transunion CRB nipashe
Let’s start with the metropol registration process. Follow these steps to register with Nipashe by Transunion CRB;
- Send an SMS to 21272 with your full names as they appear on your National ID
- You will receive a message from Transunion Nipashe asking you to register by paying Ksh 50
- Open m-pesa on your phone.
- Select lipa na mpesa.
- Choose pay bill.
- Enter business number 212121, Press OK
- Next, enter account number which is your National ID number, Press OK
- Enter amount 50, and press OK.
- Now Enter M-PESA PIN, press OK.
- Confirm you are paying ‘Credit Reference Bureau Africa Ltd’
- Press Send
- M-pesa will confirm payment was successful.
- You will receive a message from Transunion confirming that registration is successful.

How to register on Metropol CRB
To register on Metropol CRB, follow the steps below;
- Dial *433# on you Safaricom line.
- Enter your National ID Number.
- Confirm the details that you put in are correct.
- Next, proceed to pay using mpesa to finish the registration process.
- Open mpesa on your phone.
- Select lipa na mpesa.
- Choose paybill
- Enter business number 220388, Press OK
- Next, enter account number which is your National ID number, Press OK
- Enter amount 100, and press OK.
- Now Enter M-PESA PIN, press OK.
- Confirm the company you are paying ‘Metropol Credit Reference Bureau LTD’
- Press Send
- M-pesa will confirm payment was successful. You will receive a message from Metropol confirming that registration is successful.
Metropol CRB is another major bureau service provider in Kenya and offers clearance certificates, credit status and CRB listing services. Not only can you register by using USSD *433#, but new users can register through their website and also through their Crystobol App.
How to register with Creditinfo CRB
Follow the steps below to register with creditinfo CRB in Kenya
- Open mpesa on your phone.
- Select lipa na mpesa.
- Choose paybill
- Enter business number 510972, Press OK. For airtel use airtel number 0734718973.
- Next, enter account number which is your National ID number, Press OK
- Enter the amount Ksh 50, and press OK.
- Now Enter M-PESA PIN, press OK.
- Confirm
- Press Send. M-pesa will confirm payment was successful.
- You will receive a message from creditinfo confirming that registration is successful.
Requirements to register with CRB
Before you register with the above CRBs in Kenya, you will need to meet some minimum requirements.
The requirements to register are:
- Paying a registration fee: For your registration to be processed, you will need to pay a small fee.
The registration fee for CRB ranges depending on which company you choose. However, the fee amount ranges from between Ksh. 50 and Ksh. 100 for you to access CRB registration services from CRB providers in Kenya, Transunion, Metropol or Creditinfo. - Identification details like ID
