The app is currently available only for android users. As for apple users, the phone which runs on IOS, the app is currently not available on the apple store.
To download the my Telkom app on your phone, there are 3 ways you can install it on your phone. First, you can get it directly from the android play store. The second way is by accessing it from the Huawei store. And finally, users can dial *544# and select get my Telkom app.

Step 5: Enter your Telkom mobile number and press continue.
Step 6: Wait for your OTP (One time password) which will be sent by Telkom and entered automatically. Press continue.
Step 7: Next, choose a password. Input it twice. Note: The password must be 6 – 16 characters long and it must contain letters and digits only. No special characters.
Step 8: Press register.
The my Telkom app has five main sections which allow you to access the different services and features Telkom Kenya offers. These are:
The home section of the ‘my Telkom Kenya app’ gives you an overview of your Telkom account. That is your balance, the day it will expire and the option to ‘go to my account‘. It will also give you shortcuts to services that you normally access a lot of the time like ‘airtime Top Up’, ‘credit transfer’ and Ziada points ‘redeem’.
Other options you can access in the home tab are:
On the profile section of my Telkom app, you can access information about the Tariff you are on under ‘My tariff’. Also, this section shows you which subscriptions you have registered for under the ‘My Subscriptions’.
In addition to this, you can check your transaction history on your Telkom line. This allows you to check not only how many SMS and calls you have made, but how much each of them cost (how much you spent on them).
This section of my Telkom app goes into details about your Telkom line. It will give you an overview of all services that you have registered for on the Telkom network. This includes; Main account, Telkom any network bonus airtime, Bonus Airtime – any network, bonus airtime, Ziada points, Mambo on net Mins, Mambo Data, Data and many more.
You can also see your ‘Transaction history’ from this Profile tab.
The top-up section in my Telkom app gives you the option to add credit to your line. It gives you the option to either top up with

In addition to this, the top-up section also allows you to check your ‘Recharge history’. This enables you to view and see how many times you added credit to your Telkom Kenya line and using which method.
The bundles section in my Telkom app gives Telkom Kenya subscribers the chance to buy bundles directly from the app. Users can either get Talk text & more my bundles or Data bundles.

On the top left you have a quick access menu which has the following menu items; Home, My profile, My account, top up, My Bundles, my services, Tell a friend, Customer care, Telkom Shops, shops Near me and FAQS.
And on the top right, we have the settings icon which has the following items; Change Password and Logout.

So what is the overall conclusion about the app. Well, it is usable, but not necessary. Much faster to use the USSD option *544# to access the service you need. Offer options do not show up as needed e.g. Freedom Friday, Mambo onnet. It is very buggy.
It still needs a lot of work to catch app to competitors like Safaricom and airtel who offer a much smoother app experience.
