Activate Telkom Kenya SIM card

  1. After buying a Telkom SIM card, remove the SIM card from the packaging
    The Telkom SIM card comes in a packaging. Remove it gently and Select the size of SIM card suitable for your phone
  2. Insert the SIM card
    Insert SIM card into your mobile phone or device. Make sure your phone is switched off during this step.
  3. Switch on your phone
    Switch on your phone and wait for the SIM card to register to the mobile network. You’ll see the Telkom Kenya network signal on your screen once the activation process begins.
    Note: If you’re asked to input the PIN, the default is 0000. In case this PIN doesn’t work, check behind the SIM card package to find out your PIN.
  4. Dial *100#
    Once you are connected to The Telkom network, dial *100#. This will take you to the USSD menu that will show you what services you can get on the network.
